Copyright and Attribution Policy

1. Project and Purpose

The Vedas Translation Platform is part of the Vedic Project of Guyana Gurukula / Institute of Vedic Studies & Research Center.

Unless otherwise stated, the Sanskrit source texts presented on this platform are provided for educational, scholarly, and research purposes.

2. Ownership of Translations

Original translations, commentaries, notes, and related contributions are protected by copyright. Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, translations and other submitted materials remain the copyright of their respective contributors.

By submitting content to the platform, contributors grant the Institute of Vedic Studies & Research Center and the Vedas Translation Platform permission to review, edit for formatting and editorial consistency, publish, display, archive, reproduce, and distribute the submitted content through the platform and related educational project materials.

3. Permitted Use

Visitors may read, quote, and reference published translations for personal study, academic research, and non-commercial educational purposes, provided that proper attribution is given to the contributor where identified and to the Institute of Vedic Studies & Research Center / Vedas Translation Platform.

4. Prohibited Use

Unless expressly permitted in writing, users may not reproduce, redistribute, republish, sell, commercially exploit, bulk download, scrape, or systematically extract translations or other platform content.

5. Proper Attribution

Proper attribution should include, where available, the contributor’s name, the title or reference of the translated text, the name of the Vedas Translation Platform, and a link or reference to the original page.

6. Platform Materials

The platform design, structure, software, editorial materials, logos, branding, and other original materials created by or for the Institute of Vedic Studies & Research Center are protected by copyright and other applicable rights.
